Wrangler is the first apparel brand to have significant involvement in NASCAR, beginning in the 1980s when Dale Earnhardt was featured in the brand’s “One Tough Customer” marketing campaign. Wrangler was the primary sponsor for Dale Earnhardt from 1981 to 1987. This is a special joint effort between Richard Childress Racing, Dale Earnhardt Inc, JR Motorsports, and Wrangler,Dale Earnhardt Jr ran the #3 Wrangler on the 3rd of July Daytona race in honor of his father's induction into the hall of fame.
It was a very emotional WIN for Dale as well as Tony Eury, Jr who was crew chief for the special race. Dale wanted to run the #3 one more time and pay one last trribute to his Dad, and he did it in style!! Dale said, this is the LAST time he will drive the infamous #3 car. This is the hat that Dale wore.
